Tiger's Nest or Paro Taktshang is where Guru Rinpoche meditated for 3 years 3 Months and 3 days to subdue demons and demonesses.
Guru Rinpoche after subduing these demon and demonesses made them the gaurdian of the religion of this place bringing good luck, peace and prosperity to the people of this region of Bhutan
Guru's body imprint can be viewed even today on the cave walls where he meditated along with his foot imprints on the stones and floor of the cave
Tiger's Nest has captured the imagination of people from around the world and remains as one of the top 10 tourist attraction in the world

Tour Rules
During temple, monastery, Dzong visits, guest has to be properly dressed as shorts and half sleeve dresses are not allowed inside. Photography is mostly prohibited inside. Smoking in public is not allowed and attracts fine.
